Great Lakes CCC staff and crew leaders, plus 150 AmeriCorps members were involved in a Train-the-Trainer Initiative that certified 150 AmeriCorps members. These AmeriCorps members were trained in water quality monitoring and certified to eradicate invasive species along 20 acres of the Root River in West Allis. They will help establish date benchmarks to measure long-term impacts on water quality and determine best management practices.
