River Revitalization Foundation
An experimental geo-synthetic material grid was anchored to 1,500 square feet of the River Revitalization Foundation office building roof. Plants were inserted into the geo-synthetic material. This experimental green roof project covers the building’s pitched roof that is estimated to capture one gallon of rainwater per square foot, resulting in 1,500 gallons of retained rainwater per rain event. The project demonstrated the benefits of green roofs to the volunteers who worked on it and will demonstrate the benefits to the  Foundation's visitors and neighborhood residents.
