Great Lakes CCC trained 20 young adults who served as Water Advocates to assess 40 residential properties within targeted areas that impact the Milwaukee combined sewer overflow area. The zones were targeted micro-neighborhoods where home inspections were conducted for both energy and water conservation by the water action volunteers. The Water Advocates then facilitated measures to reduce water consumption at 20 homes, e.g. installation of low-flow receptacles, and application of smart water usage applications.
