Milwaukee Riverkeeper’s Annual Spring River Cleanup is one of the largest volunteer events in the state. Almost 4,000 people take to the banks of the area’s rivers to conquer one of nature’s greatest enemies - trash. The day consists of volunteers arriving at one of 50 sites along Milwaukee’s rivers. The outcomes of the event are cleaner rivers and a healthier community. The clean-up gets people outside and involved in the health of several of Milwaukee’s greatest treasures.
