Treasures of Oz is a one day educational eco-tour/event open
to the public that features selected parks and preserves in Ozaukee County. The
event is now in its eighth year with the focus in 2017 on watersheds. Partners
in the Ozaukee Treasures Network come together with Ozaukee Washington Land
Trust and Ozaukee County Planning and Parks to plan the event. The featured
parks and preserves are staffed with docents to welcome visitors. Talks, tours
and demonstrations revolve around the site's features. The Celebration
Headquarters at Forest Beach Migratory Preserve hosts many exhibits as well.
The goal is for people to discover and learn about local resources and get involved in stewardship.
