School Rain Garden

Lincoln Center of the Arts
Lincoln Center of the Arts Middle School will raise plants in its newly established greenhouse for transplanting into a rain garden along the periphery of the school’s parking lot. They will help absorb rain water and reduce storm water runoff into the city’s sewage system. In addition, rain barrels for water collection from the roof of the school were installed for use in the greenhouse. The project is now part of the middle school’s science curriculum.
