Cambridge Woods
Restoration

River Revitalization Foundation
In the summer of 2014, a section of Cambridge Woods Nature Preserve was graded by Milwaukee County Parks’ staff, cleared of invasive species, and prepared for planting. A landscape architect wrote a plan for restoration, including a native species list for planting. Planting of the shrubs and herbaceous plants improve habitat quality and are part of a larger effort Cambridge Woods to address habitat degradation and protect rare native plants, such as the forked aster.
