Riveredge Nature Center launched the Community Rivers Program (CRP) with Village of Newburg. CRP is a community-based approach to transforming the Upper Milwaukee River watershed through engagement of the rural villages in the watershed. Outreach Coordinator internship positions were critical components in engaging & educating residents about the watershed. The interns were responsible for the following: create a comprehensive outreach plan; coordinate water quality community outreach efforts; create & implement a project-specific marketing campaign, and; coordinate citizen science & educn'l programs with partner orgs.
