Wisconsin Museum of Quilts & Fiber Arts
The Stormwater Run-off Project at the Wisconsin Museum of
Quilts & Fiber Arts includes a rain garden created on the north end of
the museum’s parking lot, and a catchment and channeling system on the far
south end of it. Both of these mitigate polluted stormwater runoff and
snow melt that currently cascades across the parking lot. The two systems capture and redirect the water into either the rain garden or the existing bioswale
on the museum’s property, allowing the plants to naturally filter pollutants before
they reach nearby waterways.
