The WATERshed project trains teachers to integrate freshwater education into their classrooms and field work with their students. Students discover what goes down storm drains and how it travels to the rivers and lakes from their neighborhoods. Participants conduct scientific tests to determine the water quality of the Root River. This program will lead students to make personal decisions to improve water quality and potentially pursue science-based jobs in the water industry.
This project was a 2016 recipient of a Sweet Water mini-grant.
