The Urban Ecology Center mobilizes the community to create flourishing urban green spaces that improve water quality, build community, and nurture a love for the outdoors. The Washington Park Orchard Project promotes water and land stewardship in the city by increasing plant biodiversity in the park. The new plants spread awareness about stormwater management and invasive species removal, and decrease runoff from traditional grass cover.
